The designated GMP grade freezing medium for mesenchymal stem cells is serum-free, protein-free, and DMSO-free. All components are determined and it is suitable for constructing cell banks to support the application of stem cell drugs. It has been filed with the US FDA DMF with the filing No. of 37754.
Using the Yocon Biology "YCRYO Vitrification" vitrified freezing technology, it can be directly placed at - 80°C requiring no program cooling, and it can be directly placed into liquid nitrogen for long-term freezing after 12 h. The viability rate of cells after resuscitation is stable up to over 90 %, and the cell recovery is higher than that of conventional freezing medium.
Transportation and storage at normal temperature greatly reduces transportation and storage costs.

Product Description
Product name | Item No. | Specification | Storage conditions |
GMP grade vitrified cell freezing medium | NC1011 | 100 mL/bottle | Stored at room temperature for 12 months |
Product Application
This product is specifically used for the cryopreservation of mesenchymal stem cells such as umbilical cord - derived mesenchymal stem cells and adipose - derived mesenchymal stem cells.
Product Performance Indicators
Appearance: Clear, colorless, transparent liquid, slightly viscous
pH value (25°C): 6.8 - 7.8
Osmotic pressure: 1800 - 2500 mOsm/kg (direct detection method)
Endotoxin: < 0.25 EU/mL
Mycoplasma: Negative
Sterility: Negative
Product Features
The intracellular and extracellular cryoprotectants contained in this product can reduce the damage to cell solutes during the cryopreservation process. At the same time, they can also prevent the regular arrangement of water molecules dominated by hydrogen bonds during the cooling and rewarming processes, thereby reducing ice crystal formation and achieving the effect of vitrification cryopreservation.
This product contains no animal - derived components, no protein components, and no dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). All components are of pharmaceutical grade. The product is safe and reliable in performance. Cryopreserving cells does not require complex programmed cooling, making it convenient to use.
Main Components
Intracellular protective fluid, extracellular protective fluid, glucose, inorganic salts.
Performance validation
The cell viability rate after thawing can be stably maintained at a level close to 100%, and the cell viability rate is slightly higher than that using the DMSO freezing medium, which is far higher than that of imported freezing medium products.
The apoptosis rate of thawed cells is lower than that of using DMSO freezing medium and imported freezing medium products.
