Mesenchymal Stem Cells Serum-free Medium (GMP Grade) 2.0 | NC0107 | 500 mL/bottle | 2-8℃ , protect from light | 12 months |
Mesenchymal Stem Cells Serum-free Medium Supplement (GMP Grade) | NC0106.S | 5 mL/bottle | -20℃ , protect from light | 12 months |
Product Purpose and Description
This medium is designed for the primary isolation, seed bank establishment, and continuous subculture of human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) from various sources, such as bone marrow (BM-hMSC) and umbilical cord (UCM-hMSC). It maintains the multipotential differentiation capacity of these cells. The use of this product does not require the addition of serum or serum substitutes. The product features a defined chemical composition, with no serum, serum substitutes (such as platelet lysates), or any animal-derived or human-derived components. It exhibits minimal batch-to-batch variation, and all raw materials comply with GMP standards, making it ideal for clinical research applications.
Key Components
Amino acids, vitamins, inorganic salts, recombinant human albumin, recombinant human transferrin, recombinant human insulin, trace elements, etc.
Product Design Principle
Building upon basic media such as DMEM, MEM, and M199, this medium is enriched with various amino acids, vitamins, inorganic salts, human albumin, transferrin, insulin, and trace elements. It supports both the isolation of primary MSCs and their subsequent culture, maintaining normal cell morphology and phenotype. Importantly, it avoids the addition of components in serum or serum substitutes that may promote stem cell differentiation, thereby preserving the undifferentiated state of stem cells during subculture.
Product Performance Indicators
1.Time Required for Primary Cell Isolation from Human Umbilical Cord Using the explant method:
Visible cell growth: 5-9 days.
Cell harvest time: 12-16 days.
Note: For edematous or cryopreserved umbilical cord tissue, visible MSC outgrowth may take about 14 days, and cell harvest may occur after 21 days. In some cases, cell isolation may not be successful.
2.Time Required for Cell Passage: 3-4 days (seeding density: 8000-15000 cells/cm²)
Note: P1-P5: 8000 cells/cm²; P6-P10: 10000 cells/cm²; P11-P15: 12000 cells/cm²; P16-P20: 15000 cells/cm².
3.Cell Phenotype
Negative for CD14, CD19, CD34, CD45, and HLA-DR (<2%).
Positive for CD44, CD73, CD90, and CD105 (>95%).
4.Cell Morphology Cells are spindle-shaped, growing in a fingerprint or whirlpool pattern.
5.Product Specifications
Osmolarity: 280-350 mOsm/Kg. Endotoxin: <0.25 EU/mL. Sterility: No bacteria or fungi detected. Mycoplasma: Not detected. pH Value: 6.8-7.8 at 25℃. Appearance: Light yellow to yellow, clear, and transparent liquid. Fill Volume: 500 mL/bottle.
